Extract consistently
A flashy find only helps your long-term collection if the run succeeds. Favor routes you can finish reliably instead of taking every high-risk fight.
Enter a Sprite, variant and target quantity to calculate the Dust you need. Compare rarity tiers, see what your balance can afford, and avoid arriving at a shrine without enough currency.
Epic documents Sprite Dust as the summoning currency. The numeric table below reflects the current in-game/community-verified reference, not a promise that costs will never change. Confirm the shrine prompt after major updates.
Select the Sprite, treatment and number of summons you are planning.
Normal summons and special treatments use different price bands. A treatment means Gold, Gummy, Galaxy or Holofoil where that variant exists for the chosen Sprite.
| Rarity | Normal | Special variant |
|---|---|---|
| Rare | 100 | 4,000 |
| Epic | 3,000 | 6,000 |
| Legendary | 5,000 | 10,000 |
| Mythic | 7,500 | 15,000 |

Gummy variants currently add 20% Sprite Dust on successful extraction. Include them in your farming plan even when the base Sprite is already owned.
Reserve a Mythic fund before spending on inexpensive Rare summons. The calculator makes the opportunity cost visible before you commit.
Limited windows can improve access to specific Sprites or variants. Check the Sprite events schedule before a long session.
Start by recording what you already own in the Sprite Tracker. Rank missing entries by usefulness and rarity, then calculate the most expensive target first. A player with 12,000 Dust could fund several Normal Rare summons, but still fall short of one special Mythic treatment. Saving a protected reserve prevents small purchases from delaying the entry you actually want.
When the plan requires more Dust, combine the route planner with the acquisition guide. Track attempts separately from successful extractions, and never treat a short personal sample as an official drop rate.
The page separates official mechanics from current numeric reference data. Epic's Runners guide describes extracting Sprites and using Sprite Dust to summon them. The community-maintained Fortnite Wiki documents the current rarity and treatment cost table. We recalculate totals in the browser and do not invent odds or hidden modifiers.
Current reference costs range from 100 Dust for a Normal Rare summon to 15,000 Dust for a special Mythic summon. Use the calculator because rarity and treatment both change the total.
They use the special-variant price tier in the current game-data reference. The exact price then depends on whether the named Sprite is Rare, Epic, Legendary or Mythic.
Sprite Dust is the collection currency used at a Sprite Shrine to summon an unlocked Sprite. It is separate from match loot and does not replace the need to discover or extract companions.
Prioritize successful extractions, collection objectives and current event opportunities. Gummy variants award a Dust bonus when extracted, which can improve a long farming session.
No. Fortnite is a live service and costs can change after patches. The summoning mechanic is documented by Epic; this table is a current game-data reference and should be checked against the in-game shrine before a large spend.
No. The balance exists only in this browser form and is not stored or sent anywhere. Your collection tracker remains a separate local tool.
The calculator estimates the amount of Sprite Dust needed to summon a Sprite that has already been extracted and unlocked. It does not estimate a chest drop, guarantee a new collectible, or spend currency on your behalf. Normal summons follow the rarity of the named companion, while Gold, Gummy, Galaxy and Holofoil treatments use the special-variant tier. Select the exact treatment because a Rare special variant can cost far more than a Normal Rare Sprite. Quantity is useful when planning several squad drops or replacing a companion more than once. The balance field simply compares a private number in your browser with the calculated total.
A Normal Water Sprite is Rare, so one summon uses the current 100-Dust reference. Five planned Water summons total 500. A special Water treatment uses the Rare special tier, making one summon 4,000. An Epic companion such as Ghost costs 3,000 in Normal form and 6,000 as a special treatment. Legendary Normal summons use 5,000, while their treatments use 10,000. Mythic targets create the largest budget decision: 7,500 for Normal and 15,000 for a supported special variant. These examples explain why collectors should calculate the expensive target before making several small purchases.
Treat Sprite Dust as a collection reserve rather than a balance that must immediately reach zero. Begin with the companion you use most often, then protect enough Dust to replace it after a failed match. Create a second reserve for the rarest missing treatment you realistically expect to summon. Only the remaining amount should fund convenience purchases or experimental loadouts. This approach is especially useful for Mythic companions, where one special summon can consume the same Dust as many Normal Rare summons. Recalculate whenever your collection goal changes, a new treatment arrives, or a patch changes the economy.
Successful extraction is the foundation of a reliable Dust plan. Opening more containers helps, but a risky route produces no long-term value when the companion is lost before extraction. Prioritize routes with cover, predictable extraction access and enough time to disengage. Duplicate Sprites can still contribute progression value, and Gummy treatments currently improve Dust earned on extraction. Mastery Monday is particularly useful because Epic lists double Sprite Dust from extractions alongside faster leveling and increased Legendary and Mythic appearances. Record the balance before and after a session so you can compare routes using actual gains rather than memory.
Do not select Normal when the target is Gold, Gummy, Galaxy or Holofoil. Do not assume every named Sprite supports every treatment; the selector only exposes released variants from the current dataset. A calculated affordable count is not a recommendation to spend the entire balance. It also does not include other services purchased with Dust at service stations. Finally, live-service values can change. Check the price displayed by Fortnite before committing a large reserve, especially after a Thursday content update. If the in-game value differs, trust the game and report the discrepancy with a screenshot and patch number.
After calculating the target, open the collection tracker and mark the exact entries already owned. Add missing high-priority treatments to the next-match hunt plan. Use the route planner to select chest clusters and an extraction path, then check the event schedule for a weekly bonus that matches the target. For squads, agree beforehand who carries the valuable companion and who protects the extraction. After the match, update ownership and the Dust balance before planning another summon. This short feedback loop keeps the calculator connected to real collection progress instead of becoming an isolated number tool.
Continue with the weekly event schedule.
